Hus O ligger i en lugn villaförort söder om Stockholm karaktäriserat av kataloghus, vitmålade taket och gröna gräsmattor. Tack vare områdets sluttande topografi ligger tomterna i östvända terrasser med utsikt över Hallsfjärden. Tomten var den sista obebyggda tomten kvar i området, belägen mellan två större tomter med tvåvåningshus.
Utgångspunkten var ett enkelt och pragmatiskt hus för att optimera utsikten över Hallsfjärden.
Byggnaden är en lång och smal volym (6,6×22,75 m) längs tomtens västra gräns, med en nord-sydlig orientering. Den smala volymen maximerar tomtytan för att ge plats åt en trädgård i söderläge. Detta möjliggör även ett lättåtkomligt garage under marknivå som minimerar påverkan av bilar och parkeringsplatser på den kompakta tomten. Byggnaden är strukturerad som ett stående rutnät, där varje enhet erbjuder olika grader av exponering och utsikt över landskapet.
Programmet är fördelat över tre plan – entréplan med vardagsrum och kök i direkt anslutning till trädgården, övre plan en med sovrum med utsikt över viken samt källare servicerum och garage.

House O sits in a quiet suburban neighbourhood south of Stockholm characterised by catalogue houses, white fences and green lawns. The plot in question was the last one left unbuilt in the area, sandwiched between larger plots with two story dwellings. Because of the sloping topography of the area, the plots are arranged as east-facing terraces facing the Hallsfjärden Bay.
The fundamental idea is a simple and pragmatic house in two floors to make the most of the panoramic views of the Hallsfjärden Bay. With a slender volume, it would be possible to maximise not only the exposure towards the water but the future garden space of the plot as well.
The building is conceived as a long and relatively narrow volume (6.6×22.75m) along the western border of the plot, with a north-south orientation. This allows for an easy access underground garage, minimising the impact of cars and parking space. The facade of the building is structured as a straightforward standing grid, each unit offering a different degree of exposure and view of the landscape.
The program is organised on three floors – a ground floor with kitchen and living spaces connected to the garden, an upper floor with bedrooms with uninterrupted views of the Hallsfjärden Bay and a basement with utility rooms and garage.
